Alan was diagnosed with MG 2022. The 18month struggle to get his medication to a point where the MG was being managed was long and hard. The immune system was attacking the nervous system every hour of the day. Alan worked so hard at trying to stay fit and healthy, however with other auto immune diseases in the background he was waging a war against him self. I believe that if his immunity had not been lowered by drugs, we would still have Alan with us. The 2nd cause of death on Alans death cert is Myasthenia Gravis. I often got so so angry, crying with Alan, shouting with Alan and finally holding him in my arms while he drifted away to be pain and exhaustion free. There are two things I want in life. To have my husband back to say sorry for everything I could not do for him and for them to find a better, more effect treatment for this cruel disease. Caroline Gilbert
