Charlotte Carpenter - Research & Partnerships Manager

Charlotte joined myaware in October 2022. She holds a degree in genetics and is has a research background in oncology and microbiology. She feels her new role at myaware will allow her to foster her passion for healthcare and the improvement of patient outcomes through research. Charlotte is an avid football enthusiast of the American and European variety and plays Dungeons and Dragons weekly. She lives in Glasgow with her partner, and her Patterdale terrier Mitzy.

How do I stay safe online?

Your safety comes first! Here are a few tips for a safe and positive Gameathon experience:

  • Only share what you’re comfortable with. Avoid posting personal info like your home address, phone number, bank details or location.
  • Use strong passwords and keep your streaming and fundraising accounts secure.
  • Moderate your chats (if streaming) or ask a trusted friend to help manage comments.
  • Take breaks, stay hydrated, and look after yourself — especially if you’re gaming for long periods.

Nope! Livestreaming is optional. If you'd rather play offline, host a game night at home, or just share updates on social media, that’s perfectly fine. The goal is to have fun and raise funds in whatever way works best for you

How long do I have to game/stream for?

That’s totally up to you. It could be a 1-hour quick play, a 6-hour stream, or even a 24-hour marathon (if you’re brave!). Pick a timeframe that’s fun but manageable — every minute you play helps raise awareness and funds.

  2. You’ll need basic streaming software like OBS Studio (free and easy to set up)
  3. Make sure your internet connection is strong and your game runs smoothly

MHRA status: Approved

  • Nipocalimab is a FcRn inhibitor, similar to how efgartigimod and rozanolixizumab work. It has already shown clinical effectiveness in treating four other autoantibody-driven diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis.
